2 00 4 Measurement of σ ( e + e − → π + π − ) at e + e − Colliders
At the DAΦNE-II workshop a session was devoted to the prospects of measuring the hadronic cross section at the new DAΦNE. The session included six papers, two theoretical and four experimental ones. The theory treatises, one on the muon anomaly and the other on measuring the hadronic cross section using initial state radiation at e + e − colliders, set the background for the four experimental d...
متن کاملStudies of σ ( e + e − → hadrons ) at BABAR using Initial State Radiation ( ISR )
We present a review of BaBar results on e+e− → hadrons using the initial state radiation technique. Cross sections over the √ s range from threshold to 4 − 5 GeV, with very small point-to-point systematic errors, are presented for the π+π−π0, 2(π+π−), 2(K+K−), 3(π+π−), 2(π+π−)2π0, 2(π+π−)K+K−, and pp final states . The preliminary results of e+e− → K+K−π+π− and e+e− → K+K−π0π0 cross sections ar...
متن کاملMeasurement of σ ( e + e − → π + π − γ ( γ ) ) and the dipion contribution to the muon anomaly with the KLOE detector The KLOE Collaboration
We have measured the cross section σ(e+e− → π+π−γ(γ)) at DAΦNE, the Frascati φ–factory, using events with initial state radiation photons emitted at small angle and inclusive of final state radiation. We present the analysis of a new data set corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 240 pb−1. We have achieved a reduced systematic uncertainty with respect to previously published KLOE results...
متن کاملMeasurement of the Hadronic Cross Section at Daφne with the Kloe Detector
We have measured the cross section σ(e+e− → π+π−γ) as a function of the π+π− invariant mass, Mππ , with the KLOE detector at DAΦNE ( W = mφ = 1.02 GeV ). The photon in the above process is due to Initial State Radiation. Dividing by a theoretical radiator function, we obtain the cross section σ(e+e− → π+π−) for the mass range 0.37<M2 ππ < 0.93 GeV2. We extract the pion form factor and the hadro...
متن کاملStudy of the Process e + e − → π 0 π 0 γ in c.m. Energy
The cross section of the process e+e− → π0π0γ has been measured in the c.m. energy range 600–970 MeV with the CMD-2 detector. The following branching ratios have been determined: B(ρ0 → π0π0γ) = (5.2 −1.3 ± 0.6) × 10−5 and B(ω → π0π0γ) = (6.4 −2.0 ± 0.8) × 10−5. Evidence for the ρ0 → f0(600)γ decay has been obtained: B(ρ0 → f0(600)γ) = (6.0 −2.7 ± 0.9) × 10−5. From a search for the process e+e−...
متن کاملMeasuring the Hadronic Cross Section at Kloe Using the Radiative Return
We present a study of the reaction e+e−→π+π−γ at the φ peak with the KLOE detector at the φ–factory DAΦNE. This reaction allows us to obtain the cross section for e+e−→π+π− from the ee center-of-mass energy W = mφ = 1019 MeV down to threshold, i.e.2mπ < Mππ < mφ. This is called radiative return. The status of the analysis and preliminary results on the invariant mass spectrum of the two-pion-st...
